I need to be able to download a song and save it to my music Help pleasee?

i need it saved to my music as an mp3 so i can put it in a program called pinnacle which is like windows movie maker but every time i download it it saves in in windows media player as a play list and it won't let me enter it into the movie helpp me out please : P thanks
